Privacy Policy

FourBodies (the “App”) and the fourbodies.app website are developed and operated by FourBodies (“we” or “us”), which is responsible for the processing described here and can be reached at hello@fourbodies.app. This policy explains how the iPhone app and the website handle information.

1. Information stored on your iPhone

The App can store an optional name, practice and pose history, Daily State and check-in answers, pain or limitation notes you choose to enter, scores, achievements, streaks, favourites, notification preferences, classes you create, and optional Pose Moments. This information is used only to provide the App’s features and recommendations. V1 has no account and does not sync personal data between devices.

2. Camera and Pose Moments

Camera access is requested only when you use a camera-based feature, such as Free Mode. Pose detection runs on-device with Apple Vision. The live camera feed is never sent to our servers or to any third party.

“Capture pose moments” is off by default. If you enable it, a photograph, pose name, accuracy and skeleton points may be stored privately in the App after a pose is confirmed. The App keeps at most 30 Pose Moments. They leave the App only when you explicitly use Share or Save to Photos; the destination then handles them under its own privacy terms.

3. Network services and purchases

Anonymous usage analytics is disabled. The App does not create an analytics identifier or send usage, Daily State, check-in, pose, image, health or created-content data to our servers. If optional analytics is introduced later, it will require your prior consent and an updated policy.

The App may contact Apple services to restore purchases and download Apple-hosted content. Apple processes App Store transactions and downloads under Apple’s Privacy Policy. We never receive your payment-card details.

Subscriptions are managed with RevenueCat, Inc., which acts as our service provider. To confirm whether your subscription is active, the App shares with RevenueCat a random, anonymous app user ID, your App Store purchase and subscription records, and basic technical information (such as app version, iOS version, country and language). RevenueCat does not receive your name, email address, Daily State, practice history or camera data. RevenueCat processes this information under its Privacy Policy, and may store it in the United States under appropriate safeguards. The legal basis is the performance of your subscription.

4. Notifications and Photos

Optional reminders are scheduled locally after permission is granted. Photos access is used only to add a Pose Moment when you explicitly choose Save; the App does not read your photo library.

5. Retention and deletion

Personal data remains on your iPhone until you delete it. In Settings → Your Data, you can delete practice history, check-ins and calibration, or all App data. Pose Moments can also be deleted individually. Downloads can be removed without deleting progress. Deleting the App removes its local data, subject to iOS backup and App Store purchase records controlled by Apple.

6. Sharing, advertising and tracking

The App contains no advertising SDK and does not sell personal information. It does not use cross-app tracking or the advertising identifier. Apart from Apple and RevenueCat, as described above, the App shares no data with third parties.

7. Wellness information

Daily State and check-ins are subjective wellness tools, not medical records or medical advice. Do not enter information you do not want stored on your iPhone.

8. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their personal information through an account or server.

9. The fourbodies.app website

The website uses no cookies, no analytics and no advertising. Fonts and all other files are served from our own server, hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH in the European Union. Like any web server, it records technical access logs (IP address, browser, requested page and time), which are kept for a limited period only to keep the site secure and working.

If you use the contact form, the name, email address, topic and message you enter are sent to Formspree, Inc., which forwards them to us by email. Formspree may process this information in the United States under its Privacy Policy. We use your message only to reply to you, and delete it when it is no longer needed. You can also write to us directly at hello@fourbodies.app.

10. Your rights and contact

Depending on where you live — including under the EU General Data Protection Regulation — you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing. Because V1 keeps personal data locally and has no account, the in-app deletion controls are the primary way to exercise deletion. For any other request or privacy question, contact hello@fourbodies.app. You may also lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority, the CNPD, or with the authority where you live.

We may update this policy when the App changes. The updated date and current text will be shown here.
